Mastermind Demo + Cocktail Party 11.10.10

Why: This party began as an opportunity to demo the mastermind process for + with those who are interested for themselves + also for those who are interested in what I am up towhile providing a lot of value to my guests. It has ended up being a unique way for people to gain new "a-has" while also making new strategic connections!

6 to 6:30 PM—Meet + Greet
6:30 PM (promptly)—Mastermind Demo begins with 6-10 people
Apx. 7-7:15 PM—Group discussion based on earlier demo begins
Apx. 7:45-8 PM—Group discussion concludes + mingling resumes!

Attire: Business or Cocktail Casual

Parking: There is street parking on both sides of the street in front of the Glassworks Building + it is FREE beginning at 6PM! If these spots are taken, the 1st lot past the building at the near corner of Market + 8th is a flat $5. The lot at the far corner of Market + 8th is also a flat $5. Both lots are on your left as you are driving down Market. I can't imagine a scenario where both of these lots are full, but if the impossible happens, there is a parking garage attached to the Bat Museum on 8th St between Market + Main. You will pay $5.75 max.
What Is a Mastermind Group?
The term was first coined by Napoleon Hill in his book “Think and Grow Rich” (published in 1937). Hill thought of a Mastermind as a moment in time “when a group of individual brains are coordinated and function in harmony, the increased energy created through that alliance becomes available to every individual brain in that group.” Hill credits Andrew Carnegie with the “alliance” concept. In full, Hill amassed 20+ years of research and studied 500+ successful people. The result: Hill determined that having a Mastermind group was critical to achieving success!
Some Modern Definitions:
“A Mastermind Group is an ongoing gathering of like-minded individuals who share ideas, strategies and challenges with each other for the purpose of inspiring opportunities and each other’s success. It’s like a think-tank that combines networking, brainstorming and camaraderie. It is your board of advisors to assist you in making the right decisions that need to be made”—Ed Abel, ABEL Business Institute
“A Mastermind Alliance is a ‘meeting of minds’ in which participants put their knowledge, ideas and experiences together to create a synergy and compilation of thoughts that benefit each member. It is a powerful method for stimulating dialog and the sharing of ideas to promote individual and collective achievements”—Natalie Brecher, “Profit from the Power of Many”
In short: “people helping people achieve a common purpose and their individual goals”—Natalie Brecher, “Profit from the Power of Many”
Some Modern Names:
(CEO or Fill-in-the-Blank) Roundtable; Board of Directors; Affinity group; Think Tank; Dream Team; or (Wisdom or Fill-in-the-Blank) Circleamong many others.
What is Covered in a Mastermind Group?
People use Mastermind Groups for all different purposes, such as: sharing “best practices” (for business, parenting, etc.); attaining personal goals (gaining fitness, continuing education, etc.); maintaining + creating relationships; finance management; and oh so many more! The running thread throughout the groups that I facilitate is leadership development. To find out what I mean by leadership please read the Energy Leadership section of my web site .
Why I Should Lead Your Next Mastermind Group
First, I am a Certified Mastermind Facilitator (CMF) through ABEL Business Institute. I am also certified as an Energy Leadership Index Master Practitioner (ELI-MP) by the Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching (iPEC). I have been a Leadership Development Coach since 2005 + an entrepreneur for a lot of my adult life. As both a trained + experienced coach + an entrepreneur I bring creativity, excellence + a deep listening to your words, thoughts + desireswhich I am then able to bring to the forefront so that you may begin to take on action on what is most important to you.
Other reasons include: leadership to maintain the group over time; effective facilitation of discussion through asking open-ended, empowering questions; my subject-matter expertise; my care and concern for your success; and the insights and questions for thought that I am able to formulate based on the discussion that will bring you a new "a-ha" every meetingbecause as a coach I am trained to listen in a way that most are not. I am also trained to ask questions in ways that open new vistas for people.
What do People Think of The Mission Specialist, LLC Mastermind Groups?
"Sarah McCauley is one of the most competent coaches to have completed the Mastermind Certification Training from ABEL Business Institute. Her ability to bring together people in an emotionally comfortable setting provides lasting benefits and value to each participant. If you are ready to expand your borders and achieve the dreams that seem unachievable, Sarah will support you in achieving them."
Ed Abel

"As a member of a Mastermind Group facilitated by Sarah, I benefited greatly from her ability to bring out the best from each member. She instinctively knows the perfect balance between stepping in to keep the conversation flowing and stepping back to allow the participants to own the meeting. I would highly recommend any Mastermind Group run by Sarah."
Woody Haiken
"Sarah's mastermind meeting was just what the doctor ordered. The group discussion and brainstorming provided me with clarity and direction. While her ability to hear the concerns of each person in attendance and masterfully pose challenging and thought provoking questions provided me with views of my business and my life that I was unable to see by myself. I loved her energy and passion and the impact it had on our group."
