Overview:
Global Executive and Entrepreneur, Cultural Communication Expert and Author, Ron Cruse, will discuss how the world is changing, why the economic world is changing so quickly and why the REAL lessons from his latest book are necessary for success in today’s global market.  Ron will examine his six profoundly simple “universal lessons”--lessons that are applicable in any country at any time.

1.    Culture and its meaning:  Why culture needs to be the first consideration in any interaction. The French vs. US cultural outlook is examined in a tongue in cheek manner as example.

2.    Communication:  The major pitfalls that evolve from poor translation/understanding when people communicate in a second language.

3.    Logic: How culture can evoke backwards seeming logic and how it plays a critical part in two main aspects of interaction—negotiation & problem solving.

4.    Face: What it means & why it is so critical to understand.

5.    Law -- in the international environment:  How it can be steeped in cultural sensitivities, how it can be seemingly nonexistent in well developed countries and the major role organized crime plays in so many countries.
