Making Suede Paper

This is a great alternative to paste paper and a beautiful ground for lettering, collage with a painted texture that has a dull finish like that of suede.

Masonite or Gator Board - larger than the size paper you are working with
Arches Text Wove paper
Strathmore Drawing paper
Painters Tape
Gouache or Matt Acrylics - Assorted colors and gold
Bristle Brush
Golden Tar Gel
Black Ball Point pen
Gold foil
Palett
Water container
Paper Towels
