You're Invited: NH Arts Advocacy Summit Jan 4 2011

Everyone who knows the power and value of the arts knows the arts are worth fighting for.  With an effective statewide network, we can advocate for support of the arts at every level-state, federal, and local-but we need the strength of our numbers.  This Summit is our chance to meet, share ideas, and learn how to keep the arts alive with effective advocacy strategies.

Summit Preparation for attendees:  Are we advocates yet?  How can a network of artists and arts organization best make the argument for arts promotion and arts funding at the policy level?  This summit is one step towards strengthening the network of interested arts advocates in New Hampshire.  Attend and bring your thoughts on the following:

What does the government do best in terms of arts promotion?
What are the best arguments for supporting the arts?
What could the NH Citizens for the Arts do to better enable you to be an arts advocate?
What is your individual plan of action for 2011 to advocate for state funding for the arts?
