Spark! Training Youth to Be Catalysts for Policy Change

Should students have access to medically accurate information in schools?

Should you be able to talk privately with your doctor about physical and mental health concerns?

Should your school be required - or even allowed - to have an anti-bullying policy?

These are some of the questions the NC General Assembly might be asking in the 2011 legislative session.

If you're interested in becoming an advocate for teen health issues, join us for this free training! We will cover adolescent health issues and public policy, as well as advocacy strategies and messaging. This training is for youth, parents and youth-serving professionals.

We will be hosting a lock-in on Saturday, February 19 for those who need overnight accommodations. If you are chaperoning a group of youth, you must stay with your group at the lock-in. Please contact Mary Martin Vance at 919-226-1880 or mvance@appcnc.org with questions.

We will email exact directions to the lock-in and training just prior to the event.
