We are very excited about our annual Day at the Capitol this year on Thursday, February 10, 2011. Our focus will be on school choice and giving parents the opportunity to choose the educational option that is best for their children. After a briefing from the legislators and the staff of The Family Foundation, you will have the opportunity to meet with your Senator and/or Delegate. At 11:00 a.m. we will join with several other groups for a Rally for School Choice at the Bell Tower on the Capitol grounds.

Event Speakers
Lt. Governor Bill Bolling will address our Day at the Capitol briefing at the Greater Richmond Convention Center. Lt. Gov. Bolling has served in that capacity since 2005. Prior to that, he served in the State Senate, where he was known as the conservative leader. He played a key role in the successful drive to pass the Marriage Amendment in 2006.
Secretary of Education Gerard Robinson will be speaking to the rally at the Bell Tower. Secretary Robinson is a big supporter of school choice. Prior to his appointment by Governor McDonnell as Secretary, Mr. Robinson served as the president of the Black Alliance for Educational Options (BAEO). BAEO is a national nonprofit, nonpartisan organization whose mission is to actively support parental choice to empower families and to increase quality educational options for Black children.
Bishop E. W. Jackson Sr. will also address the rally. He is the Family Foundation Chaplain as well as President of S.T.A.N.D. (Staying True to America’s National Destiny), founder of Exodus Faith Ministries, author, Harvard-trained attorney and a favorite at TEA Party rallies across the country. Bishop Jackson has excited thousands with his passion to turn America back to the biblical principles it was founded upon.
