Texas Medicaid will launch the first phase of the EHR Incentive Program in early 2011. The program distributes incentive payments to Medicaid providers for the meaningful use of certified electronic health record (EHR) technology.  Learn about program participation for eligible professionals (EPs) – steps to take and information to provide, now and during enrollment in the Texas Medicaid EHR Incentive Program.

Eligible professionals for the Medicaid Incentive Program include:

• Physicians
• Dentists
• Certified nurse midwives
• Nurse practitioners
• Physician assistants who are practicing in Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHCs) or Rural Health Clinics (RHCs) led by a physician assistant
