In this FDA sponsored study, a qualitative mental models approach to risk
communication was used to design, conduct and analyze 50 semi-structured telephone
interviews with U.S. adults.  The presenters will share key findings from their research and
discuss potential implications to the development of consumer-focused food terrorism
risk communications strategies.
