Volunteer Stream Monitoring Symposium 

Welcome to  the 2011 Volunteer Stream Monitorng Symposium registration website!

The Symposium will focus on "Assessing Agricultural Impacts in Your Watersheds" and will be held Thursday, March 24 and Friday, March 25 at the Lussier Family Heritage Center in Madison.

Since 2006 the River Alliance of Wisconsin, University of Wisconsin-Extension and the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources have hosted a statewide gathering for citizen stream monitors, local program coordinators and others interested in volunteer stream monitoring. The Symposium is a great opportunity for networking and education.

This year's Symposium begins at 2:30pm on Thursday March 24 and ends at 4:30pm on Friday March 25th. The agenda includes a panel discussion with farmers and many in-depth sessions.The Wisconsin Stream Monitoring Award Ceremony will take place at the Great Dane Pub in downtown Madison from 6:00-8:00pm on Thursday.

The early registration deadline is March 1. The early registration fee is $20 and the first 20 people that register will receive a waterproof file folder thanks to a donation from EZ Office Products. After March 1 the registration fee will increase by $10. The registration fee includes lunch on Friday and all sessions. The registration fee does NOT inlcude dinner on Thursday or lodging.

Need Lodging?

A block of rooms has been reserved at the Country Inn & Suites under the name "Volunteer Stream Monitoring" at the discounted rate of $105 plus tax. You must reserve your room by February 24th to receive the special rate. You are responsible for making and paying for your lodging arrangements. Lodging is not included as part of the registration fee.
