Please bring chess clocks if you have them.

Awards:
Trophies will be given to the top four places in each section.
Sportsmanship awards in each section.
Head-to-head Blitz (G/5) playoffs will be used to break ties.
Section Details:
Novice Section: For beginning unrated players and players rated < 600.
This division will be split into smaller sections based on number of registrants and grade level. 5 round Swiss, G30, NWSRS rated, but not USCF rated. Recording is not required. Clocks will be used only if both players agree or if the tournament director assigns a clock.
Intermediate Section: For intermediate unrated players and players rated 600 – 899.
The U900 division will be split into smaller sections based on number of registrants and rating, or grade level if unrated. 5 round Swiss, G35, NWSRS rated. Recording is not required. Clocks may be assigned and must be used if a director or player brings one to the table.
Advanced Section: Anyone may play in this division, but players with USCF or NWSRS ratings > 900 MUST play here.
This division will be split into sections based on number of registrants and rating, or grade level if unrated. 5 round Swiss, G40, NWSRS/USCF rated. Clocks must be used if a director or player brings one to the table. Recording and current USCF membership required.
Open Section: Players with NWSRS rating 1200+ play in the open section, but lower rated players are also welcome. Players with USCF or NWSRS ratings > 1200 MUST play here. 5 rounds, G/45.
