Come Join Us As We Celebrate Our Amazing History!

Throughout U.S. history, women of every race and class have made contributions that have helped to shape and strengthen the country. 

 In 1987, Congress declared the month of March Women’s History Month to recognize these contributions and to promote the teaching of women's history.  Celebrating our history in any capacity helps to shape us and empower us!

We would like to invite our G.E.M.S. and Jewels girls to celebrate the wonderful achievements of women from the past/present, explore how they can become the new leaders of tomorrow and make their mark in history! 

  G.E.M.S. and Jewels 2011 Women's History Event 

During this wonderful celebration we will :

• Explore and honor amazing women who have made a difference and who are currently making a strong impact on our world. 
• Special Presentation from Spelman's National Council of Negro Women Chapter.
• Women's History Activities to include How Will I Impact The World Vision Board Activities, Time Capsule/Video Project and Letters for the next generation of girls project.
