The luncheon keynote speaker will be John Mooney, founding editor of NJspotlight.com. Mr. Mooney has covered education in New Jersey for 15 years as a reporter for the Newark Star-Ledger and The Bergen Record and recently as a contributing writer for The New York Times. He has won numerous state and national awards, including honors from the Education Writers Association and the American Society of News Editors.
Marcia Merrins, LWVUS Board Member, will lead an important discussion on defending the League's nonpartisan stance, "The League - Nonpartisanship and Elections in a New Era".
