May 5, 2011 FREE Skin Health Wellness Seminar

1:00-2:00pm

May is National Skin Cancer Awareness month.   Visit the American Cancer Society webpage for information on skin cancer, and all cancers.

The skin is the largest organ of the body, yet most of us don't do enough to maintain our skin's health. Approximately 1 out of every 5 Americans will develop skin cancer in their lifetime - the most common form of cancer and making up 50% of all new cancers.

Join Dr. Margaret Bobonich, UHMG Doctor of Nursing Practice, as she leads our discussion on Healthy Skin. Help save lives by inviting your co-workers to join you in attending this session.

Topics will include:

  • Risks for skin cancer - What is it and could I get it?
  • Signs and symptoms - What do I look for and what do I do if I find something?
  • Preventative Measures - How can I reduce my risk?
  • Facts or Fiction - Common myths about the sun
  • Your Questions!  Send them to us when you register to ensure they are answered in this session.
