If you believe some window salespeople, you can save MORE energy by replacing your windows than you lose through your windows!
Are they magic windows?
Come to our July meeting to learn when windows leak air and how they lose energy, and you'll leave with a better sense of when it makes sense to replace windows instead of repair windows.
ABOUT OUR PRESENTER:
A. Tamasin Sterner is President and Chief Coach of Pure Energy Coach LLC, based in Lancaster PA, and The Pure Energy Center in Montana. She has worked in the energy efficiency and energy conservation field for over 30 years, improving the lives of over 40,000 households.
Pure Energy coaches the future of America’s home improvement industry with its grassroots approach to no-holds-barred audits, quality assurance services and training programs. Pure Energy is a Building Performance Institute (BPI) Affiliate Company, and offers training and testing in support of BPI Certification including green jobs skills training, such as energy auditing, thermal imaging, and the role of consumer behavior in energy use and savings.
Ms. Sterner is a nationally recognized expert in energy conservation. In December 2009, she was hand-picked along with four other honorary guests to advise President Obama on the proposed federal HOME STAR program. She famously convinced Obama that "insulation is sexy!" and contributed her ideas that have since become Department of Energy policy. In March, 2011, she was given the highest award in her industry, the Home Performance Industry, the Tony Woods Award.
Not satisfied with doing, Sterner has turned her energies to teaching the next generation of home performance professionals. She has taught hundreds of courses on energy efficiency strategies for individuals and organizations in multiple states, from the Northeast to Puerto Rico and the American Virgin Islands to Montana. Last year she launched The Pure Energy Center and Ranch, an entirely new energy efficiency training facility in Montana.
