True the Vote

Catherine Engelbrecht

with Catherine Engelbrecht

Is there election fraud going on in our nation?  How much is acceptable?  Is it happening here in Virginia?  If so, what can be done to prevent it?

The  King Street Patriots from Houston, Texas asked these same questions and were shocked to find so many irregularities in their hometown election process.  They created an initiative called True the Vote, which is becoming a model for groups across the country.  Come and hear Catherine Engelbrecht, President of The King Street Patriots, as she shares her experiences with True the Vote in the Houston area.

You will also receive updates from (1) American Majority, a Virginia-based national training organization whose mission is to train leaders committed to individual freedom through limited government and the free market and (2) The Family Foundation, a state-based policy and grassroots organization that seeks to strengthen Virginia families by applying founding principles and faith to policy and culture.

True the Vote

In 2009, a group of citizens volunteered to work at the polls in Houston, Texas. We were shocked by what we discovered. We watched as Election Officials often failed to check voters’ identification, disregarded polling documentation requirements,  and routinely accompanied voters to the voting booth and told them who they should or should not vote for, going so far as to fully prepare the ballot, make all selections, and instruct the voter to “press here to vote”. Free and fair elections are an American birthright.

True the Vote is a initiative developed by citizens for citizens, to inspire and equip volunteers for involvement at every stage of our electoral process and to actively protect the rights of legitimate voters, regardless of their political party affiliation.

Our government was built upon the belief that election results represent the true will of the people; our election processes were always intended to be supported by citizen volunteers.  If you are one of the millions of Americans outraged by the corruption of our government, help stop the corruption where it starts – at the polls.   Let’s work together to true the vote in every election across our nation!

If our elections are not truly fair…we are not truly free.

American Majority

American Majority is a national non-profit, non-partisan political training organization whose mission is to train and equip a national network of leaders committed to individual freedom through limited government and the free market. Our philosophy is centered around the grassroots- we believe that change begins, not in Washington, but in our state and local communities, where the majority of government spending occurs. American Majority’s goal is to provide the cutting edge resources and training that will help create an effective support team of activists and new candidates, who will successfully challenge the status quo, hold elected officials accountable and step up to provide new leadership that is committed to limited, constitutional government.

The Family Foundation

The Family Foundation of Virginia's is the Commonwealth’s oldest and most influential pro-family advocacy organization.  Started in 1985 by Fairfax County resident Walt Barbee, The Family Foundation has been on the forefront of critical public policy debates helping Virginia citizens, lawmakers and business leaders better understand and apply to law the principles of life, marriage, parental authority, constitutional government and religious liberty.

Today, The Family Foundation comprises a full-time professional staff in Richmond, coordinating grassroots efforts of a network of tens of thousands of pro-family, citizen activists throughout Virginia. The organization is wholly supported through the voluntary generosity of Virginians, their churches, businesses, foundations and civic organizations.
