Join Chef Julio-Cesar Florez (Peru) and GM Raul Escobar (Chile) on La Sombra’s patio underneath the canvas awning in the shade for an interactive evening of summertime  entertaining. Guests will be treated to a four-course dinner, complete with a variety of libations. Take home a sampling of recipes from the evening and try out the dishes at your very own South American barbeque.

FIRST COURSE
Cebiche

Watch as Chef Julio breaks down a whole fish

and turns it into La Sombra’s house staple cebiche del dia, a Peruvian mainstay,
as Raul shake-shake-shakes pisco sours to perfection.

SECOND COURSE
Ensalada

Local, seasonal, fresh produce from farm to table – this is what summer salads are all about.
And with a Deep Eddy Sweet Tea Vodka mojito to accompany, life in the shade doesn’t get much better.

THIRD COURSE
Parrillada
 

Nothing says entertaining in the summer like meat right off the grill.
Enjoy a selection of quail, Gulf shrimp, coffee crusted pork ribs, and Shiner Bock marinated hangar steak
with potatoes, seasonal vegetables and La Sombra's signature chimichurris
along with a sampling of beers from Argentina.

FOURTH COURSE
Postre

Cool down after a hot meal with dessert a bit closer to the homeland…
floats made with Teo’s Texican vanilla gelato and real Mexican Coke.

*In the case of rain or other inclement weather, guests will be invited to relax in La Sombra's lounge area and enjoy the same dishes from the kitchen as Chef Julio discusses preparation methods and selection of local, seasonal ingredients, as well as the dishes’ origins in Latin America.
