You are invited to help COSSA celebrate 30 years of successful advocacy at its Annual Meeting in Washington, DC.  The meeting will begin on the morning of Wednesday, November 2 at 8:30 a.m. and finish on Thursday, November 3 at 11:30 a.m.  Ken Prewitt, COSSA's current President, former Census Bureau Director, and a key actor in COSSA's creation, will preside.

The meeting will feature a look back at the past thirty years, including its political and economic landscape, and the contributions of the social and behavioral sciences to the period’s public policies.  It will also take a special look at the current budget-constrained policy era.  In addition, the meeting will also focus on future research topics and data collections in these sciences.  Finally, on late Wednesday afternoon COSSA will honor its founders and have a celebratory reception.  

As usual, the speakers will be a mix of government officials from the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy, National Science Foundation, National Institutes of Health, Congress and other agencies, as well as prominent social and behavioral scientists.
