Jamboree Live Broadcast: "The Many Facets of the National Archives Website" - Kerry Bartels

This talk is designed to show genealogists how they can use the National Archives website to determine what records are in the National Archives and what records in the National Archives would be of  use in their particular family history reserach. Since most genealogists use less than 1% of the records in the National Archives containing genealogical information, this is a valuable skill.

This talk introduces examples of records with great genealogical value that are little known and little used by genealogists. The talk is sponsored by the National Archives at Perris, California.

Kerry Bartels is an Archives Specialist at the National Archives at Riverside. A professional archivist since 1977, he has worked in historical societies, libraries, museums, universities, state arcives, and now at the National Archives. A genealogist since 1962, he has done extensive research in the United States and Canada as well as many nations in Europe.
