NetIP Toronto serves up Dinner and Discourse with Technopreneur Farhan Thawar

NetIP Toronto continues its "Dinner and Discourse" series with Technopreneur Farhan Thawar.

Named one of “Toronto’s Top 25 Most Powerful People In 2010”, Farhan is a well-known and respected figure in the city’s tech community. Along with being the Vice President Engineering  for Xtreme Labs Inc., a company that provides custom mobile applicati on  development including apps for Blackberry, iPhone, iPad, Android and Windows Mobile devices, Farhan uses his wealth of industry and mobile expertise to mentor aspiring mobil e and tech startups through ExtremeU. In 2009, ExtremeU helped launch UKEN Games, a start-up that now has over 400,000 iPhone users. Farhan has a degree in Computer Science from the University of Waterloo and an MBA in Financial Engineering from Rotman. Before joining the Xtreme team, Farhan held the positions of Chief Software Architect at I Love Rewards, the Head of Search & MSN Platform for Microsoft Canada and Technical Lead at TrilogySoftware.

Farhan will be delivering a thought-provoking session on what it takes to become an entrepreneur, and the risks, challenges and successes he faced along the way. A brief speech by Farhan will be followed by a candid Q&A session, where attendees will have a chance to get their questions answered.
 

After the Q&A session a sumptuous three course dinner featuring a lavish spread of delectable Thai cuisine will be served.
