The 17th Annual Tee-Off for Tourette     Charity Golf Event

The 17th Annual Tee-Off for Tourette Charity Golf Tournament, the oldest and one of the most successful golf events for Tourette's syndrome in the United States, is Monday, October 17, 2011 at Canongate at The Woodlands-Panther Trail Course.  The tournament is a four person scramble with Best Ball and Contests.   Lunch is provided by Texas Roadhouse.   Not a golfer?  Tickets are also available for the Evening Awards Dinner and Silent Auction only.

Tourette’s syndrome is a neurobehavioral movement disorder characterized by motor and vocal tics. Beginning in childhood, it causes those affected to make movements and noises they cannot control. Additionally, many are plagued by obsessive-compulsive disorder, attention-deficit-hyperactivity disorder, oppositional behavior, and other disorders. Approximately two percent of the population suffers from TS, with 1 in 100 school age boys and 1 in 300-400 school age girls affected. Although medication may help control the symptoms, as of yet there is no cure.

The Tourette Syndrome Association of Texas, one of the largest chapters in the country, is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization striving to improve the quality of life for individuals with Tourette's syndrome and their families.  We raise funds to directly assist Texas area families and children in crisis, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.  Your support will help us to continue our many educational and advocacy programs, scholarships, support groups, and the du Ballon Rouge TS camping weekend.

Will you support us with a sponsorship donation?  Below is a listing of the current opportunities.  If you are not able to sponsor this year, please consider making a cash donation.  We would also appreciate your consideration of donating gift certificates, gift cards, or merchandise for our silent auction or door prizes.  Please contact Barbara at darbar4@comcast.net for more information.  Donations and sponsorships must be received by October 3rd to be included on signs and in the silent auction.  You may arrange for pick-up of your donation by leaving a message at 281-395-5392.  If you prefer, you may mail your donation to:  Tee-Off for Tourette, 23011 North Warmstone Way, Katy, TX 77494.  Your consideration is greatly appreciated.
