What plans are in place for State and regional business retention and recruitment?

TREO recently led a reconnaissance mission to Huntsville, Alabama to bolster its effort toward an Aerospace & Defense Cluster Strategy.  The Tucson region has had its share of success in each of TREO’s four targeted industries (A/D, Bioscience, Solar and Transportation/Logistics), but these industry sectors are not equal participants when it comes to economic impact.  The Aerospace & Defense industry generates $5-6 billion in revenue annually from more than 200 companies.  TREO will share the outcomes of what leaders learned in Huntsville that will, in part, be used to develop significant strategies to grow this critical industry.

The Arizona Commerce Authority will talk about their new role as the State's economic development department and statewide efforts to attract and retain quality jobs in Arizona.
