Intro to Needle Felting w/ Christy Binoniemi at the Yarn Garage
Class Description:
Discover the joys of “painting” with wool roving! Learn about the tools, materials,
and techniques that will allow you to achieve a painterly effect when needle
felting on felted wool pieces to frame or on your favorite wool mittens, hats, and
sweaters.
Supply list:
Students can bring the following if they wish:
- felting needles and/or needle holders
- wool roving
- felting pad
- wool sweater, hat, bag, or mittens to felt on
The following supplies will be provided. Supply fee is $20:
- Small felting pad
- 2 felting needles
- 5 oz. of wool roving in various colors
- Small bag of various art yarns
- 9 x 12” piece of felt to use as canvas for practicing techniques
- Reference sheets
