Needle Felted Pet Portraiture w/ Christy Binoniemi

Description: Learn to create a beautiful portrait of your treasured pet in wool through this Advanced needle felting class. Using a photocopied image of your pet, learn how to plan your composition, create and use a template, layer fibers to create sensational color depth, and incorporate various fibers, art yarns, and beads to add texture and interest. This class is for the Intermediate to Advanced needle-felter.

Students are asked to bring the following or purchase upon arrival at class:

- felting needles

- wool roving in colors you’ll need for their project

- felting pad

- surface on which to felt: this can be a felted bag, wool sweater, piece of wool (such as prefelt) to frame, etc. Ideally, bring a piece large enough to create an 8x10" portrait

- *IMPORTANT* Color photocopies of your subject- bring several copies of the same subject with at least 2 color 8x10” copies that can be used to create your template...
