Shu Lea Cheang was the first net artist commissioned by Guggenheim Museum New York for her work Brandon (1998-1999), a one-year web narrative project.
Cheang is a visionary in drafing sci-fi narratives for her art works, traversing between hard and soft, sex and politics, fiction and reality, fantasia and earth-bound. She is currently developing Moving Forest for a London 2012 launch and engaged in UKI, a sequel to her sci-fi cyberpunk film, IKU (Sundance Film Festival, 2000).
