Daytona State College will be hosting its Fourth Annual Academic Excellence Symposium on Friday, April 27, 2012.  Held on the college's  Daytona Beach Campus, the symposium features presentations and roundtable discussions addressing issues of interest to those in higher education.  

The theme of this year's Academic Excellence Symposium is "Creation through Collaboration". The focus is to open discussions concerning cross-disciplinary actions that are currently being used or those that are being investigated, in order to produce students who are ready and able to become successful in the workforce of today and tomorrow. The symposium will also address the question of how we as colleges and/or universities are able to provide a foundation for future success for our students through the creation and/or implementation of cross-disciplinary courses and programs.   

We encourage anyone interested in a scholarly discussion of education and research to attend. Join us to hear highly respected professors.
