ABOUT MICHAEL WOODNICK
Michael Woodnick was one of the founding members of the Communication Studies Department at Northeastern University. He served as the first Chair of the department and for more than 40 years developed and taught courses in Interpersonal Communication, Communication and the Quality of Life and Communication and Spirituality: From Effectiveness to Authenticity. Professor Woodnick is a recipient of the University's Excellence in Teaching Award and from 2000-2003 he served as the first university appointed Director of Spiritual Life. Since retiring from Northeastern in 2009, his research and writing interests focus on spirituality in daily living and finding meaning in the second half of life.
