CMP and Matthew Poore are teaming up to offer an exciting new way to power up your communication. By combining relevant techniques to communicate and lead effectively with team kart racing on the track, business seminars have never been so exciting!
We all know communication is important, especially in challenging times. In order to connect with our customers, employees, and co-workers, we need to know how to convey our thoughts in ways they understand. In this half-day workshop, discover your personality style and learn how to overcome the barriers of various personalities and to communicate effectively.
After the learning session, you’ll get the opportunity to put the techniques into practice and get your communication skills on track. On the kart track, that is. Racing karts on an outdoor track will kick your learning into high gear. With strategic team challenges that will test your leadership, communication, and collaboration skills, you will experience the thrill of kart racing and understand the importance of different communication styles.

NO Experience Necessary
All skill levels will be accommodated on the kart track.
Participants drive CMP's fleet of Birel Racing Karts on their .7-mile, outdoor, high-grip track. These karts are equipped with racing tires and capable of speeds of 50mph. All gear is provided, all you have to do is show up and drive!

RACE & LEARN Seminar DESCRIPTION
8:15am - Team Racing Skill Preparation: In the Classroom | Every good racing team possess the skills to manage and overcome any obstacle thrown at them, afterall, NO team wins by what happens on the track alone. So, during this brief program, leaders will learn about their own character, as well as the character of others. An assessment review also offers guidelines on effective interactions with various personalities in their organizations. Some topics covered in the review include:
Character Assessment Review and Comprehension | Internal vs. External Individual Perceptions | Communicating Effectively with Diverse Personalities | What Each Character Type Means to Your Organization
10:15am - Strategic Team Kart Racing: On the Track | Once the skills have been reviewed, you will team up with other seminar participants to drive in a series of team challenges on the kart track. The objective of each race is for teams to complete the most number of laps in specified length of time. Teams will be assigned a leader and given a stategic challenge to work through that will affect how fast teams ultimately perform. Some potential challenges are: changing a tire, required pit stops and driver changes, driver time restrictions, extra weight penalty, and more.
