Halal certification for food manufacturers and distributors

Tap into the $634 billion global market for halal-certified food now. Halal is a set of dietary guidelines for Muslims, and it applies to food, beverage, pharmaceutical, and cosmetic products. If your food product isn’t halal cerhalalgrocerytified, many Muslims won’t consider buying it.

Large firms like Nestlé, Cargill, and Kraft see the market potential and already have lines of halal-certified products. But small food companies can sell into the halal market, too. It's simple, cost-effective, and it gives your product a competitive selling edge.

At this seminar, experts from the Islamic Food and Nutrition Council of America will teach you about the tastes and purchasing habits of shoppers who look for the halal certification, and you’lIFANCA logol find out what your plant would have to do to become certified. In most cases, it’s as simple as it would be to achieve Kosher certification. Distributors and others along the supply chain can also learn their role in the process and whether they might already be able to handle halal-certified food products.

Here's a short video by IFANCA explaining what halal is.
