This video provides an overview of how to include Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) employees in the workplace by highlighting the need to change . Inclusion of sexual orientation and gender identity will be the first step in complying with the federal Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA) when it passes. Until ENDA passes, more and more workplaces are including protections for LGBT employees in their EEO and anti-harassment policies. The video highlights how to change your policies and provide workplace protections for LGBT employees, laws about sexual orientation and gender identity, and how corporate policies can reflect inclusion of LGBT employees.

This is an asynchronous interactive online training module that you can take at anytime, anywhere. While there is not an instructor, the course uses the facts and supporting interviews from those who are working on LGBT equality in the field. The goal of the course is to provide you with an overview and reasoning for including sexual orientation and gender identity protections in your corporate policies. It also provides insights on best practices for implementing these policies. By the end of the course, you will be able to discuss:

• The status of legal protections for LGBT people
• Best practices for development of inclusive workplace policies related to sexual orientation, gender identity, and gender expression
