Erica Adams - PHABRIX  

Erica co-founded the professional broadcast test equipment manufacturer PHABRIX. Since starting the company with husband Philip in 2005, revenues, head count and margins have grown and this year the company will achieve a turnover of £4 million. Central to this growth is the company’s research and development strategy that focuses on delivering test equipment that's cutting edge technology, affordable and easy to use.

Nick Trollope - Procius

Procius is one of the UK's leading providers of pre-employment screening and background checking services.  The company works on behalf of HR departments and hiring-managers across the UK, conducting reference checks, criminal record (aka CRB) checks, financial probity and ID checks, plus a range of other investigatory tasks, aimed at weeding-out bad apples.

Business performance has been good and profitable in every year of trading largely due to good financial control and healthy margins. Dominant in all sectors Procius is now the UK market-leader in airports and aviation. In the wake of 9/11, there are now some heavy-weight and complex checks for job-seekers if they want to work at an airport. 8,000 jobseekers are checked every year on behalf of some of the best known employers in the aviation industry.
