Join Dr. Tamara Grosz and Kate Jacobson, RYT, LISW-CP, both mothers of children with special needs, for a day designed to address the often neglected grieving process associated with mothering a special needs child. For mothers of children with any type of special needs, this workshop provides a safe supportive setting for identifying and processesing unresolved/unexpressed grief. Utilizing a wide variety of techniques, including gentle movement, this interactive workshop will also assist mothers to recognize and celebrate the unique gifts our children bring to each of us and our families. The workshop will be held Saturday January 14th from 930-5 pm at gorgeous Palm Key just outside of Ridgeland, South Carolina and will include lunch. Optional overnight accommodations and/or therapeutic massage available for mothers wishing to extend the retreat experience. Respite/Childcare services will be available, if requested, by staff from Compassion Healthcare.
