Learn new ways to supercharge your teaching and lesson plans with technology!

Attend this workshop to improve your ability to integrate instruction with educational technology. Join author, former practitioner, and McREL Principal Consultant, Elizabeth Hubbell at this interactive event based on McREL’s popular ASCD publication, Using Technology with Classroom Instruction That Works.

This workshop pairs an overview of nine research-based categories of instructional strategies for increasing student achievement with engaging educational technology applications and integration methods. Participants will take part in guided practice combining the strategies with these five categories of technology:

  • Word processing
  • Web resources
  • Organizing and brainstorming software
  • Data collection
  • Multimedia

Participants can expect to leave the workshop having:

  • Gained lesson-planning ideas and strategies for every grade level and subject
  • Discovered new educational tools that support research-based instruction
  • Learned new ways to use technologies you already know
  • Used a dedicated Web site and customized wiki and blog to get hands-on experience with technology integration
  • Accessed hundreds of Web sites specifically tied to the instructional strategies
  • Generated technology-infused lesson ideas ready to use in the classroom

Click here for a detailed schedule.

Who should attend?  Teachers (all grade levels), curriculum specialists, and staff developers seeking ways to integrate technology with effective instructional strategies and who are excited about the potential technology holds for learning should attend.
