Small Hub and Non-Hub airports take note: The 2012 Western Airports Conference is scheduled for April 17-19, 2012 in Universal City, California. Sixel Consulting Group will provide multiple opportunities for you to network with and meet top airline planners in an environment in which smaller airports are not only welcomed but valued.

Airline planners will be available for social networking and private air service specific meetings. In addition, Sixel Consulting Group staff and other industry experts will present information on various aspects of air service development including:

restrictions on airport funding of air service

sources of community financial support for air service

air service trends

the future of aircraft for small communities

examples of successful programs

All meetings will be held at the Hilton Universal City, with a diversified blend of industry experts, airline planners and executives providing air service information directly relevant to the small airports in attendance. In addition to group meetings, a major purpose of our conference is to provide scheduled time for one-on-one meetings between your airport representatives and the airline planners who make decisions every day regarding the service levels in your community. These personal meetings, which are invaluable for small airports seeking air service, along with group presentations and classroom teaching sessions, will be interspersed throughout the three days.

In addition to the "business at hand" we believe in the value of networking via social events - and having a little fun while we are at it! We also encourage families to travel together and provide events in which we can all participate. Networking opportunities include several entertaining and casual events - occasions during which you will be able to interact with airline planners, other small airport personnel, Sixel Consulting staff and managers from Bob Hope Airport. The first event begins Tuesday afternoon, April 17th, at 2pm with a tour of the BUR airport.  At 6pm that evening, please join us for an opening reception at Hilton Universal City hotel, followed by dinner at the Hard Rock Cafe.  On Wednesday evening, we will venture into Universal Studios, and Thursday into Universal CityWalk.  These events help forge new relationships, remind us we are all working toward the same goal, and enhance our appreciation of the qualities and skills we all bring to the industry.

We strive to keep costs as low as possible at our conferences. This event is offered at $895 per person which, in addition to the conference agenda, includes all meeting room rentals, meals, and the audio/visual equipment needed for this event. As with all of our conferences, spouses/partners are welcome at our social events, receptions, and dinners as our guests. In addition, children are also welcomed at all dinner events.  If you plan to include spouses/partners and/or your children, please register them under the guest category and indicate which events they will attend.
