We are pleased to announce our next class!

 
Jim Maas will be the instructor! In this novice bonsai class, he will talk about the history of bonsai, different styles, methods of trimming, leaf reduction, root pruning, etc. You will be planting a baby Ficus in a big training pot. It will not look like a bonsai the day we first plant it. It will not look like the bonsai from the Karate Kid.....yet! A bonsai plant is a multiple year commitment.  Some are handed down from generation to generation. 

This bonsai will grow just fine inside or outside, unless we have a freeze in which case it would definitely need to be inside.

Each year we will work on the bonsai so you will bring it to next year's bonsai class and we will trim & groom it. In 4-5 years it should be awesome!

No special tools will be required for the first class. The class fee will be $25.00.
