Save Texas Schools-San Antonio Conference

With state budget cuts to education of over $5 billion becoming a reality in the classroom, WE MUST START NOW TO RESTORE SUPPORT FOR TEXAS SCHOOLS!

Join us on Friday, Feb. 3 and Saturday, Feb. 4 for the Save Texas Schools San Antonio Conference. The agenda includes state and local leaders speaking out on how we can turn the tide back towards investing in the future of children. Workshops on Saturday will equip you to support and spread a pro-education agenda in your community.

 Working together, we can turn back the cuts!  

Registration fee, including meals and materials, is a low $20 in advance or $25 at the door. Scholarships are available. Space is limited.

Friday registration is FREE (suggested $10 donation). Please register all group members in advance if possible. 

Saturday only registration is $10 in advance, or $15 at the door.

Confirmed Speakers for Friday Night: San Antonio Mayor Julian Castro, Rep. Mike Villarreal, Sen. Leticia Van de Putte, Texas State Supt. of the Year Dr. John Folks (Northside ISD), Connor Brantley (student leader), bipartisan panel of legislators

Saturday Workshops: Understanding the Education Funding Crisis, Developing and Supporting Pro-Education Legislators, Sharpening the Education Message, How to Hold a House/Neighborhood Meeting plus a special youth track for high school and college students. A panel discussion with San Antonio area school superintendents and school board members is also planned.
