Early spring is an exciting time in the Flint Hills. On any given day one can come in contact with all of the elements: wind, water, air or fire. The Flint Hills become a treasure trove of photographic opportunities for the nature photographer.
Join Edward C. Robison III on a photographic journey into the Flint Hills. For the Spring of 2012 Edward is offering only one workshop in the Flint Hills, The Prairie Fire Experience.
The Prairie Fire Experience workshop is geared toward the beginner to intermediate photographer. One of the most important aspects of the workshop is a focus on an individual hands-on learning experience. The workshop will begin at 4:30p.m. on Friday, March 30th and conclude on Sunday, April 1st at 2:00pm. We will cover a comprehensive overview of digital photography techniques with an emphasis on low light and prairie fire photography. Also included will be a presentation on digital editing techniques. A ranch style dinner will be served on Saturday evening followed by a controlled burn for an up-close and personal prairie fire experience. The workshop fee is $295. ($265. if you register before March 1st) The workshop fee does NOT cover: lodging or transportation to the Flying W Ranch. Workshop is limited to 12 participants to ensure plenty of personal hands-on instruction.
After registration a detailed information packet will be emailed to confirm your registration.
