About The Film:

The Gospel of Healing: Volume I Black Churches Respond to HIV/AIDS is a feature-length documentary film by Paul V. Grant that profiles five models of faith-based HIV prevention, treatment and care servicing predominately African-American communities.

The film explores how these organizations were established, what services they provide and it also features many well known African-American HIV/AIDS and social justice advocates, theologians and pastors addressing stigma and discrimination within black Christian faith communities and role of black churches in increasing access to health care.

It’s about how a community works to heal itself.
