This is an ideal opportunity for persons with disabilities, family members, advocates, state agency heads and their staff, and legislators to interact and catch up on legislative priorities and other important issues.

Invited guests include Governor Deval Patrick, State Senators and Representatives, State Cabinet Secretaries and Commissioners.

  • Awards to Legislators of the Year, Senator Patricia Jehlen and Representative Kay Khan, in recognition of their advocacy for persons with disabilities

  • Personal Testimonies

  • Key policy priorities for 2012:  The Massachusetts Developmental Disabilities Council and The Arc of Massachusetts

Visits to Legislators

After the program, visit your legislators to discuss legislative priorities and issues of importance to persons with disabilities.  Team leaders will be available to escort small groups requesting assistance.  Please call your legislators to encourage them to attend the event and let them know of your planned visits after the reception.  For assistance with identifying your legislators call Lesley Smythe at (774) 455-7365 or visit:  http://malegislature.gov/people/search
