Introducing the 2010 Standards

The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) has been in place since 1991 and the Americans with Disabilities Act Accessibility Guidelines (ADAAG) have not substantially been changed in 20 years. On March 15, 2012, the 2010 Standards for compliance with the American with Disabilities Act (ADA) will become mandatory. This program will look at the new 2010 Standards and compare the changes to the 1991 ADAAG and the California Building Code (CBC). These changes will affect how you design elements for the disabled and how you are caught between the American with Disabilities Act (ADA) and California Building Codes (CBC). Presented by Kerwin Lee, AIA, CASp.

After the presentation, join us for a wine and cheese reception in the AIA East Bay office.
