Fourth Annual Girls Coalition Conference
Elevate the Conversation. Inspire Collaboration and Action.

The Girls Coalition's fourth annual conference will use film and other media as a catalyst for discussing the issues that effect girls, as well as follow-up on our negotiation partnership with PROGRESS. The Girls Coalition is working with WQED, and through the Women & Girls Lead project, to create this dynamic event. 

The event will feature two keynote speakers:

• Madeline Di Nonno, Executive Director, Geena Davis Institute on Gender and Media
• Rebecca L. Collins, Director, Health Promotion and Disease Prevention Program, RAND Health.

Additional breakout sessions will include topics such as:

• Gaming Technology
• Gender stereotypes
• How to effectively integrate data collection and analysis into programmatic decision-making
• Redefining Business & Beauty
• Young women and the juvenile justice system
• Music, messaging, and more

Finally, the day will conclude with an intentional networking session and dessert reception, where we are challenging attendees to start the conversations that will lead to collaborations and to develop next steps for the tools and resources they have received throughout the day.
