Conference

Every profession sponsors conferences at which participants can learn from each other as well as speakers. These conferences are for continually learning and keeping up-to-date with their profession.  Conferences are used to network, share experiences, and gain new ideas for tackling their day-to-day concerns. Well, parenting is our most important profession and you can go to conferences, too!
LLL of Georgia sponsors Area Conferences which are designed specifically for parents, those who are breastfeeding, and those who are exploring the later years of childhood. The hotel halls are filled with babies, mothers, dads, and older children. The playrooms resound with laughter and toddlers play happily on the floor in session rooms. Come to our Area Conferences which are designed to enhance your parenting skills!

This is my story of coming to terms with the heartbreak, the acceptance, and ultimately, the healing, of life with the "breast cancer gene." I'll share the questions I've grappled with: Who will take care of my kids? What if I've passed this on to my daughters? Am I really going to cut off my breasts? Will my husband still love me? Will I still love me? I'll also talk about the research that has transformed my body, the mother-daughter connection that gives me so much hope, and your questions about parenting through the unexpected.
