PERMACULTURE OFFERS POSITIVE SOLUTIONSTO A PLANET IN CRISIS
Permaculture is a design science that brings together nature, earth sciences and human intelligence to develop positive solutions to create healthy and sustainable environments and build resiliant communities. Permaculture has accumulated over 35 years of experimentation and application around the world, urban and rural, in all climates and with diverse cultures.
PERMACULTURE DESIGN CERTIFICATE COURSE
The Permaculture Design Certificate Course is an internationally-recognized 72 hour course resulting in a Permaculture Design Certificate. The course includes the application of permaculture principles to food production, home design/ construction, energy conservation/generation, and explores alternative economic structures and legal strategies supporting permaculture solutions. Credit for this course is now accepted by a growing number of universities around the world.
Certification from this course empowers you to develop a professional permaculture design, consultation and instruction business. As graduate, you will find yourself a member of an exceptional international community of permaculturists. If you desire, you can work in much needed AID somewhere in the world. As a graduate, you will also be eligible to attend the next stimulating International Permaculture Conference and Convergence in 2013 in Cuba and create a network of permaculture practioner friends from around the world.
LEARN TO USE NATURE AS YOUR PATTERN FOR FOOD PRODUCTION, HOUSING, AND COMMUNITY
Permaculture provides a framework for consciously designed landscapes that mimic the patterns and relationships found in nature. These systems yield an abundance of shelter, water, energy, and food for the provision of local needs that provide diversity, stability, and resilience for local populations.
Cathe' Fish is an international educator and founder of Practical Permaculture Research Institute. She has been a Master Gardener since 1988, and has been teaching and practicing permaculture and passive solar design since 1981. She has designed 40 acre farms to backyards. She taught Functional Sustainable Solar Kitchens at the International Permaculture Convergence in Jordan in September 2011. Read her bio on her website www.practicalpermaculture.com
Cliff Jepsen grew up on a working farm and became disenchanted watching farming turn to monocrops and industrial confined animal factories. He became a Master Gardener in 2003. His enthusiasm for agriculture returned when he earned his Permaculture Design certificate that year. He oversaw the Children's Garden Program in Trinity County for 3 years. He and his wife Nora Heiber purchased Allsgood farm in January 2011, and have dedicated the beautiful farm to permaculture stewardship.
Also assisting at the course will be a team of passionate and knowledgeable instructors.

COURSE FEES
We know that many people who care for the Earth would like to take this class. Considering the economic downturn, we are lowering the price of the course.
In 2009, this Permaculture Design Course class was $1450.
In Fall 2011, we reduced the course fee to $1350. This is a bargain for a design course of this caliber.
Because we want as many local people as possible to take this course, we have lowered the price THIS TIME ONLY to $1050. How are we doing this? We are holding the course only on the weekend to help people who work during the week. We are not serving meals. You must bring your own lunch and snacks.
Camping is available. Contact Cliff Jepsen at Allsgood Farm 530-356-5436
Note: Our work trades are full.
CLASS SPACE IS LIMITED.

"What permaculturists are doing is the most important activity that any
group is doing on the planet. We don't know what details of a truly
sustainable future are going to be like, but we need options, we need
people experimenting in all kinds of ways and permaculturists are one of
the critical gangs that are doing that."
Dr David Suzuki geneticist, broadcaster
and international environmental advocate
"Permaculture...is dedicated to designing landscapes that operate with as little intervention as possible. I've visited numerous permaculture sites, they are unquestionably the zenith of environmental enhancement."
