$50,000.00 Greyhound Golf Challenge 

Welcome to our 1st Annual Greyhound Golf Challenge

     We are truly excited about our 1st Annual Greyhound Golf Challenge and we thank you for either registering to golf or pledging to help a golfer raise funds for the Midwest Greyhound Adoption!
 
There is a serious need to help more Greyhounds than we are capable of helping right now. With hundreds of dogs retiring and other greyhounds in shelters needing to be rescued, our goal is to be able to increase the number we, here at Midwest Greyhound Adoption, can accommodate either by taking into our own group or by helping to transport to other greyhound adoption groups.
 
Right now we can only comfortably help about 20 of these retired athletes at a time. We transport them from closed tracks, and kennels where they are no longer wanted. The racers we pick up are usually from Florida and Alabama. We also take in some greyhounds from shelters that are at a higher risk of being put to sleep. Some of the track Greyhounds need broken bones set, some need amputations, all need grooming as the ticks and fleas are very prevalent in the deep South. They are neutered, spayed, tested in foster homes to see how they adjust to life in a real home instead of a crate, and helped to transition to life as a real family member.
 
This Greyhound Golf Challenge will help us raise the funds necessary to take a step towards rescuing more of these wonderful animals.
 
As they lose the only life they have ever known, we wish to be able to help as many Greyhounds as possible find happiness and love with their first and forever family.

When you reach $350 in personal pledges in your name, your $150 Greens fee will be refunded to you after the event.
