 Down Syndrome Educational Symposium Series  Featuring

Guest Speaker Dr. Libby Kumin

 Nationally and Internationally Renowned Expert in

Speech and Language Pathology

One full day for professionals and one full day for parents!

 

Please join Dr. Libby Kumin, PhD, CCC-SLP, Professor of Speech-Language Pathology and Author from Loyola University in Baltimore, MD as she digs deep into one specific and crucial topic: Speech and Language Pathology for individuals with Down syndrome. The sessions covers infants to adults and are structured to share best practices, content that is research-based and proven “how to” strategies.  All sessions will include time for Q & A.

Libby Kumin has been active in teaching and research, and has been working extensively with families of children with communication disorders since 1968. She has authored many books: Early Communication Skills in Children with Down Syndrome, Classroom Language Skills in Children with Down Syndrome, What Did You Say?  Helping Children with Down Syndrome Communicate Better and others have been read by thousands. She has earned many awards and is listed in Who’s Who of American Women and Who’s Who in Medicine and Health Sciences. Dr. Kumin has written extensively and spoken around the country. She is an active clinician, teacher, researcher and scholar whose heart shines through her work.

Cost: $15.00 per person or $25.00 for two                                                               (partial and full scholarships available by calling Trish Morris)

Spanish translators and spanish materials will be available on Saturday, May 5th.
