Women Celebrating Women

This event was held on May 2, 2012.

THANK YOU to everyone who generously contributed to the wonderful success of our Women Celebrating Women fundraising dinner!  What a spectacular night it was!

We had over 200 attendees come to enjoy the company of friends and a sumptous dinner provided by the Clinton Inn in Tenafly, NJ.

The evening's program was hosted by the always funny and entertaining Nina Pineda, Emmy award winning Journalist and member of the WABC-TV Channel 7 Eyewitness News team.

One of the highlights of the event was special guest Jeanette Rivera, a Women's Center graduate who bravely shared her moving story about her struggles as a single mother and her recent strides towards success, empowerment and self-sufficiency.

Also inspiring was a video presention of everyday life at Women's Rights Information Center, which illustrated the value and impact this organization continues to have for many, many women in our community.

CONGRATULATIONS again to all of our honorees:

About Women's Rights Information Center's Annual Event

For nearly forty years, Women’s Rights Information Center has been a place where women facing economic and social barriers can regain the strength it takes to become independent, self-confident, and self-sufficient.

Participation in our annual fundraiser helps us continue to open doors for women - providing hope and a chance for success.

In 2008,  Women's Rights Information Center hosted our first annual fundraising event celebrating local women who exemplify philanthropy and volunteerism and inspire others to give back.

Our past honorees include: Sheilagh Cirillo, Pamela DeBlasio, Stephanie Goldman-Pittel, Annie Hausmann, Mary Heveran, Kelly Larson, Phoebe Seham, Esq., Ellen Silberman, Cynthia Thek, and Dr. Arthorine Walker.

Here are some photos from our previous events.

Our goal for the future is to continue to grow our services and strengthen our support, because when it comes to matters of women and families, we remain committed to changing futures and changing lives.

Here's how your support can make a difference.  In the past year alone:

887 single mothers, displaced homemakers and low-income women received
