Driving Directions 

Who: Diocesan youth who have completed grade 8 through 12 are invited to join the journey to the largest gathering of Episcopalians in the world! Adults who work with youth that wish to join the trip should contact the Diocesan Office for additional details.

gclogoWhat: Attendance at the 77th General Convention of the Episcopal Church. Activities will include:

  • Meeting with Presiding Bishop Katherine Jefferts Schori
  • Observing the House of Deputies in session
  • Observing the House of Bishops in session
  • Exploring the Exhibition Hall
  • Fellowship with youth from across the world
  • Dinner with Bishop Jacobus, Clergy and Lay Deputies, and ECW Triennial Delegates
  • Celebration of the Holy Eucharist with over 10,000 folks!

Where: The Indiana Convention Center in downtown Indianapolis. Housing will be in convention hotels. Travel will be by 15-passeneger van. Discover more about General Convention here.

When: Travelers will gather at Grace, Sheboygan on Thursday night at 6pm. After spending the night (and rising early) all will drive to Indianapolis. On Sunday, travelers will return after the General Convention Eucharist, returning about 8pm. Return location determined after participants are known.

When: Anne Schuette, who served as a Deputy to the last General Convention, and Dan Hornung, of St. James, Manitowoc, will be the guides for this journey.

CostRegistration Fee is $60 which is the Visitor Fee at General Convention. The cost of housing and travel is part of the diocesan budget. Travellers should bring at least $100 for meals (except Saturday dinner, which is the Bishop's treat!).
