TISS/NCSU ESI is proud to present to you the distinguished policy expert, R. James Woolsey, who will give a public lecture on the NCSU campus on March 15th at 1 pm.  Doors to 135 Gold Leaf BTEC will open at 12:20 pm.  For Directions and Parking - Scroll down!

James Woolsey is Chairman of Woolsey Partners LLC and a Venture Partner with Lux Capital anagement.  Over the course of a dozen years, Woolsey held presidential appointments in two Republican and two Democratic administrations, including one stint as undersecretary of the Navy and another as director of the Central Intelligence Agency under President Clinton, from 1993 to 1995. In recent years, Mr. Woolsey has become an influential voice in the energy debate. He is known for articulating the national security arguments for reducing dependence on fossil fuels and moving towards distributed generation. He has argued his views in important publications such as The Wall Street Journal and played key roles within the Energy Future Coalition and the National Commission on Energy Policy. These are nonpartisan groups of experts in business, labor, the environment, and national security that are pressing for a more forward-looking energy strategy.  

Registration is not required and walk-ins are welcome. However, seats are limited.  You can reserve a seat if you like by completing the online registration form and printing out a ticket which you should present to the ushers on your arrival.    These seats will be held for you until 12: 45 p.m. on the day of the event - thereafter, they will be released. REGISTRATION WILL CLOSE AT 5 PM on Tuesday 13th March or when all seats are filled.

Driving along Western Blvd towards Raleigh, take a right onto Varsity Dr. Continue straight across Avent Ferry Rd and into Centennial Campus. Take a left onto Partners Way and into Partners Way Parking Deck II - Pay Lot.

Parking: The Partners Way Deck is a "pay and display" self-pay system; purchase anticipated parking time, pay and display receipt on windshield. Make sure you park in the Pay Lot (Deck II) and not the permit-only lot (Deck I). Once parked, follow the crosswalk and sidewalk along Gold Leaf BTEC Building to entrance.

Coming from Campus:

Students/Faculty coming from NCSU campus can take Wolfline bus #8: Southeast Loop from the Library or Carmichael Gym and get off at the Partners II stop on Centennial Campus. 

Some NCSU employees and students may be able to take advantage of permit lots.
