The Lost Civilizations of North America!

St. George Regional Conference, Book of Mormon Evidence Series

FIRM Foundation president and author Rod L. Meldrum will present the latest research on exciting new evidences for the Book of Mormon in the Heartland of North America.

This Testimony Building Regional Conference will focus on the following topic(s)…

The Book of Mormon prophets wrote that they were living the Law of Moses.  Is there any archaeological evidence to suggest that the ancient Hopewell Civilization that flourished in America's Heartland during Book of Mormon time frames were living that law? New research based on the findings of Hebrew/Jewish expert Amberli Nelson provides astounding evidence to support that claim.  Come to the conference and  learn of these amazing new discoveries right in the Heartland of North America.

Has Lehi’s ocean voyage now been discovered and substantiated? Once you see this presentation you’ll be asking, “Why isn’t this front page news!” For the first time since the coming forth of the Book of Mormon there is direct, incontrovertible evidence supporting the Book of Mormon’s claim of a voyage from the Saudi Arabian peninsula to the Americas.  A recently completed oceanic expedition in a 600 B.C. wooden sailing ship has provided astounding new understandings for Lehi’s voyage to the Americas.  It was patterned after remnants of ancient Phoenician ships, known to have made the first circumnavigations of Africa in the same era as Lehi’s voyage. Could there be any correlations?

How large (or small) were the lands of the Book of Mormon?  You will see a comparison between the two prevailing Book of Mormon geography theories (Heartland and Mesoamerica) with the route thought to have been taken by Lehi’s family down the Saudi Arabian peninsula.

What caused the destruction at the time of Christ?  Was it caused by a volcanic eruption as has been speculated by some Book of Mormon geography scholars, or is there another explanation?  Amazing new research has uncovered incredible parallels between the eye-witness accounts of the Book of Mormon prophets and the eye-witness observations of those who suffered through a sequence of earthquakes in the heartland of America in 1811 and 1812. Together we will compare the scriptural account with the History Channels Earthquake in the Heartland documentary and authoritative accounts by those who were there!  It is nothing short of amazing.

Ancient Hebrew Verified in America’s Heartland!  Only a few months ago a stone that was recovered in 1889 during an official Smithsonian Institution archaeological dig in a Hopewell burial mound in Tennessee was verified to have an ancient Hebrew inscription carved into its surface.  Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) examination was performed by American Petrographic Services at the McClung Museum on the campus of the University of Tennessee and their conclusions are revolutionary.  This is the first artifact ever recovered and scientifically verified to have ancient Hebrew writing anywhere in the Americas, and it came from a Hopewell mound that dates it to Book of Mormon time frames!

What Evidence is There for Book of Mormon Metallurgy?  The Book of Mormon mentions the use of gold, silver, copper, iron and steel.  Is there any evidence of these metals among the remains of the ancient Hopewell Mound Builders in the Heartland of America?  Intensive new research has revealed that non-Mormon secular scholars show the use of all of these metals by the Hopewell which was the highly advanced civilization that existed during the time frames of the Book of Mormon. You will see artifacts recovered from Hopewell burial mounds with these metals and much more.  What about steel swords mentioned in the Book of Mormon, is there any evidence for these in the Heartland of North America?  The evidence for Hopewell metallurgy is incredible, and right in the middle of Book of Mormon time frames.

Are there Hopewell Parallels and Correlations with the Book of Mormon?  The ancient Hopewell Mound Builder civilization shared no less than 40 known parallels and correlations to the Nephite civilization of the Book of Mormon.  There has never been this level of evidence in support of the claims of the Book of Mormon, and what is most amazing is that nearly all these have come about by non-LDS secular scholarly research and findings.  Sadly, many LDS know practically nothing about these evidences that may support the claims of the Book of Mormon.

How well does the Heartland Model geography correlate with the Book of Mormon?  One of the most powerful indications that the Book of Mormon may have occurred in the Heartland of North America are the number of correlations with the geography passages from the text itself. From narrow necks of land and narrow passages, to cities that were built “in a particular manner” by the Nephites, what parallels have been found between the Hopewell Mound Builders and the Nephites of the Book of Mormon?  We will explore many different areas where these civilizations seem to make a spectacular match, and where it is less clear.

Many are becoming aware of the expanding body of evidence suggesting that the Book of Mormon may have occurred on the same sacred lands as Adamic history and Church history, in the “Heartland” of North America.

Rod L. Meldrum has been conducting research and presenting his findings throughout the country.  Recently the University of Chicago’s Divinity School published in their journal, Sightings, that this new Book of Mormon geography model, deemed the “Heartland Model” has grown to become a “swelling movement within the Mormon Church.”  Join in this presentation and find out why!

Interest in this research is gaining momentum with tens of thousands coming to visit both of our websites; www.bookofmormonevidence.org and www.FIRMLDS.org to learn more.  We encourage you to take a ‘video tour’ of this research by going to the FREE VIDEO  GALLERYwith over 80 video clips to help you learn more about why this exciting new information is quickly becoming the new paradigm among so many latter-day saints.

Register now to experience the joy of learning about the amazing new evidences coming from non-Mormon sources in support of the claims of the Book of Mormon.  You will be happy you did!
