" A Tribute to Margaret's Garden"  Call for Art

Submission Deadline - June 10, 2012

Margaret’s Garden was a beautiful and tranquil place where artists, families, neighbors and visitors could take a few minutes or a few hours to enjoy the beauty of the space. It was an oasis on Lawyers Road.  Margaret Thomas had a way of slowing down time and making each person feel special, especially children.  Her 2000 cultivars of bearded iris and many peonies and daylilies delighted everyone for over 50 years.  The show, A Tribute to Margaret’s Garden, will truly be a community event.  Everyone is invited.

To honor Margaret and her garden, ArtSpace Herndon invites all artists over 16 to submit their artwork to this heartfelt show.  Please consider submitting work that views the garden uniquely, that will reflect your own perspective.

Artwork must pertain to Margaret’s Garden.

The deadline for entry is June 10, 2012.  There is no submission fee.

Each applicant may submit three (3) pieces of art.

Mediums will include painting, photography, drawings, computer art, and mixed media.

Artwork will be evaluated by a panel of jurors.  Only artwork selected by the jury will be included in the exhibit.  Submissions will be juried to create a show with a variety of mediums and subject matter.
