Three esteemed panelists who know the world of charitable giving will evaluate the current trends and future directions that they see in the field of philanthropy. Moderator Jody Glynn Patrick, a volunteer and philanthropist in her own right, will invite panel participants to share their thoughts, concerns and inspirations with all of us who work in the trenches of the fundraising profession.

About our Panel:

Jody Glynn Patrick, Publisher, In Business Magazine
Jody has been a reporter, editor and publisher for more than 20 years, and publisher of In Business magazine for over 15. She has won state and national journalism and leadership awards. Jody is on the advisory board of the WI Women's Business Initiative Corp., past president of the Business Development Group and member of many business and civic organizations.
Prior to her publishing career, Jody was a death and crisis counselor, serving as Director of Western IL University's Hotline Crisis Center, Manager of the Chicago Ronald McDonald House, and Crisis Interventionist for a suburban-Milwaukee police department.
She hosts "In Business with Jody and Joan" with Joan Gillman on Madison 1670 AM Talk Radio at 6 p.m. weeknights.

Kathleen Woit, Ph.D., President, Madison Community Foundation
Kathleen earned her Ph.D. in administration from UW-Madison in 1992 with an emphasis on non-profit management. She has held positions as Assistant Chancellor for University Relations at UW's Whitewater and Milwaukee, and was VP of Fund Development and Community Initiatives at Meriter Health Services. She has been President of MCF since 1997.
Kathleen has served on many area boards, and received several community awards, including the Urban League Whitney L. Young Award, YWCA Women of Distinction, NSFRE Fundraiser of the Year and 2010 Best of Madison Business award. She is in the In Business Hall of Fame.

Renee Moe, VP of Resource Development, United Way
Renee Moe is VP of Resource Development at nationally recognized United Way of Dane County. With staff and volunteers she builds relationships and raises resources for the community's Agenda for Change, seven goals that focus United Way's work in education, safety and health.
Successes include stabilizing 2,000 Dane County families in housing in 2011, connecting 20,000 students with trained volunteers to help them read at grade level and pass algebra, and reducing the rate of adverse drug events and falls in our local senior population.
Renee has helped to raise more than $185 million from the community during her tenure.

Theresa J. Duren, Director, Programs & Evaluation, Donors Forum of Wisconsin
Theresa has over 20 years of experience in the non-profit and philanthropy sector. Prior to DFW, she was the Senior Grants Officer at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh's College of Education, where she was instrumental in securing over $2 million in external grants. She was a program officer with The Columbus Foundation, a community foundation in Columbus, Ohio with assets of over $1 billion, and has held positions with Vanderbilt University, the Ohio Department of Health, and the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She received her Master of Public Health degree from The Ohio State University and holds a B.S. in Biology/Chemistry from Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee.
